Deepika Padukone wins Best Actress award, Farhan Akhtar Best Actor

deepika Milkha Singh’s biopic ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ was the big winner on Friday night at the 59th annual Filmfare awards. The inspiring film bagged maximum awards including Best film, best director award for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and the Best actor award for the multi-talented Farhan Akhtar who literally transformed himself to play Milkha Singh on the big screen.

Padukone won it for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram leela’ . Veteran actress Supriya Pathak, who played Deepika’s mother in the film , won the Best supporting actress award. While Best supporting actor award went to Nawazuddin Siddiqui for his endearing performance in ‘The Lunchbox’. The film, which was blatantly ignored by the jury while sending India’s entry to Oscars in 2013, got the Filmfare nod on Friday night.
