Leicester is in for a superb treat this Bank holiday Sunday as the talented and beautiful Mamta Sharma is set to entertain a UK audience for the very first time in a one off special performance. Mamta Sharma’s unique voice has won her 11 acclaimed awards and several nominations, including the Filmfare award for best female Indian playback singer. Talented and clever, singing in over 10 Indian languages she has been interviewed by top TV channels, radio stations, magazines and made a special appearance in the movie, Dabbagg 2.
From, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India; Mamta Sharma is a well-known Indian playback singer who shot to fame with many top hits including ‘Munni Badnam Hui’, ‘Fevicol Se’, ‘Tooh’ and ‘Kewa Keka’ to mention just a few.
A voice to so many Bhojpuri albums and has over 30 hit songs to her name so far with several featuring in top Bollywood movies.
Accompanying Mamta Sharma on stage is Yashraj Kapil and comedian Gaurav Sharma. Kapil’s talent had already bagged him the Sitaron Ko Choona award, but Indian Idol 5 really put Kapil in the spotlight as he impressed judges and stole hearts with his great vocals, style and charisma. Hilarious Gaurav Sharma is one of the best stand-up comedians around and a regular on the Great India Launghter Challenge.
Promoter, Jay Kotak, of Jays Entertainment is no stranger to Bollywood, having delivered sell out concerts for more than a decade – the first at the Birmingham NEC arena back in 2002.
