”Take me away” by Raghav

Canadian singer, songwriter returns with brand new summer single ‘Take Me Away’

Following on from a string of successful film songs in 2014, international pop and Hindi star Raghav is set to release his next solo single, a slice of pop with a hint of EDM, the infectious dance track “Take Me Away”.

The new single, also written by Raghav, follows on from previous solo hits such as “Fire” and “Woohoo”, which achieved huge commercial chart success in Canada. Similarly “Take Me Away” has already shown early signs of another breakthrough hit, having been picked up by some of the leading Canadian pop and dance stations this week.

In 2014 Raghav has released film songs such as “Keep The Hustle” (from the “Million Dollar Arm” soundtrack), “Aaya Khwab Ka Mausam” (“Kochadaiiyan”) and most recently “Mawali Qawwali” (“Lekar Hum Deewana Dil”), all of which have been collaborations with Oscar and Grammy award winning composer AR Rahman. He will next be heard on the soundtrack of the Salman Khan produced “Dr Cabbie” with the lead song “All I Need Is You”.

Raghav says: “Over the last couple of years I’ve been balancing a lot of film work as well as my own solo material. This year alone I’ve recorded over 10 new film songs, most of which have been with AR Rahman. Some of these have been heard and will continue to be heard in forthcoming Bollywood and Hollywood productions this year. At the same time I’ve been continuing to write my own solo material and “Take Me Away” is the first of a few singles to be taken off my forthcoming EP which will also be releasing this year. So there’s a lot of great music in pipeline.”

Raghav continues his musical journey in a career that spans a decade filled with international success. With classic UK top 10 releases like “So Confused”, “Angel Eyes” and “Can’t Get Enough” still popular with fans all over the world, Raghav’s catalogue has consistently added hit after hit. A versatile singer, songwriter who can be positioned strongly across all popular English and Hindi genres Raghav’s discography also includes infectious pop records such as “My Kinda Girl”, “So Much”, “Fire”, “Woohoo” and Hindi ballads like “Humrahee” and “Kya Se Kya Ho Gaya”. One of India’s best selling pop artists, Raghav’s entry into the Bollywood market came in 2012 with the track “Ishq Shava” a huge hit in the Shahrukh Khan starring “Jab Tak Hai Jaan”. He has since gone on to release music with legendary composer AR Rahman in a number of films in 2014, with his forthcoming solo EP also scheduled to release this year.
