The Times of India Film Awards 2013 started with a starry bang as the country’s top movie stars flocked to British Columbia in Canada to enthrall the audiences with some super-hot performances.
KaThe main attraction of the evening were of course the A-listers – Ranbir Kapoor, Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan – who not only attended the extravaganza, but performed on some hit numbers too.

Almost five years ago me and my family were scheduled to perform in Vancouver for the Unforgettable tour (in 2008). Unfortunately, the show in Vancouver got cancelled and I promised I will make it up to you and I hope that was a bit of a payback. And I promise you next time I won’t only bring Aishwarya, I will bring dad (Amitabh Bachchan) as well,” Abhishek Bachchan said.
A number of Canadian newspapers, including the Vancouver Sun, have alleged that the government of British Columbia spent over $11 million of the tax payers’ money hosting a Bollywood show it didn’t have any business spending on, flimsily hoping that it would boost the tourism industry and contribute towards its economy. The Canadian media also said that the actual reason behind the show being held now was to woo the immigrants who comprise a large part of the voting population, just ahead of the elections in British Columbia that are due in a few months.
