Altaf Raja was amongst the 90’s era. He won million’s of hearts with his 1997 album ‘Tum Toh Thehre Pardesi’ but he sure does keep himself at a distance from the glamorous world of Bollywood – yet managed to maintain his craze amongst his UK and global audiences.
“If I continuously come up with my songs, the charm among the listeners would have been difficult to maintain,” said the singer in a recent interview with Bollywood Radio & Music.
“Basically, I am a private singer who received recognition through my albums. Bollywood has always been a second option for me. Legendary singers like Jagjit Singh and Anoop Jalota are known and loved for their albums first and its beauty will remain always’, said Altaf.
“I am a very simple person who stays away from pompous life and live with my mother in Mumbai, i will be touring in the UK, this August”.
The songster is soon going to come up with his two albums- Follow up of ‘Tum Toh Thehre Pardesi’ and ‘Mast Mast Teri Aankhein’.
